And Color of The Year 2014 Goes To…

Pantone has announced PANTONE 18-3224, Radiant Orchid as the new color of the year for upcoming 2014, replacing Emerald, the 2013 color.

It’s a feminine and playful color, full of soft character–and we love it! For home decor or paint color, interior designers envision it mixing seamlessly, as Emerald did, with old, vintage pieces that have a bit of crassness and edge, like rustic wood pieces of furniture, and copper and brass trimmings.

“While the 2013 color of the year, PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, served as a symbol of growth, renewal and prosperity, Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark the imagination,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®.
