This collection has provided over 3 months of work in 21 communities in Guatemala, and supported our model to provide sustainable income to our partner artisans year-round.
Mercado Global has worked in Guatemalan communities for almost a decade, and their fair trade company is founded in empowering women. *amen. By fusing their traditional artisan skills of back strap loom and foot loom and facilitating access to modern markets, Mercado Global enables indigenous women to break the cycle of poverty to become change makers within their community.
