Some of the sharpest voices in sustainable fashion faced off with an unlikely audience: bankers. Featuring an inspiring group of women, including Jill Heller, Soraya Darabi, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart, and Shannon Whitehead, “An Evening of Sustainable Fashion” by Credit Suisse didn’t pull any punches, not even with the concept of “sustainability” itself.
Smaller fashion websites can take on big names by using data to better explain where their clothing comes from. Soraya Darabi, founder and CEO of Zady said that the “story” of an item of clothing could help take on what she dubbed “fast fashion.”
