Inspired by the environment, surfaces, vibrations and disparities found in Africa’s wild, Lalesso‘s Spring Summer 2014 collection is utterly mesmerizing. Balancing geometric shapes with flowing + structured silhouettes, the collection is masterfully both bold and gentle. As one of the first carbon zero fashion brands in the world, Lalesso is concerned with way more than just looks. Offsetting their carbon emission in collaboration with CO2 Balance has allowed the brand, not only reach net neutrality for carbon emissions, but also quantitatively measure to make a positive social impact in East African communities.
All of Lalesso’s production takes place in SOKO, an eco and ethical garment production facility in Kenya. By supporting the creative talent within the country, Lalesso empowers the community through their fair trade and collaborative design initiatives.
